The Depot

Built over 100 years ago as the city’s train depot station, The Depot is a beautifully restored facility situated at the gateway to downtown Albemarle. The Depot has played host to a variety of events, from weddings and receptions to birthday parties, reunions and corporate events. The building houses a medium sized banquet hall, catering kitchen, and a smaller area with a wet bar.

Mr. & Mrs. Ellis Smith Room

Located on the front lower level, the Smith Room features a wet bar with space for beverage storage and serving. This room can accomodate smaller crowds or overflow from the neighboring

Snyder room.

Roger F. Snyder Room

The Snyder Room provides banquet hall space, which holds up to 8 round tables (5' diameter). Each table seats up to 8 with total seating for 64. Rectangular tables are also available, and work well for buffets.

The Catering Kitchen

Located next to the Snyder Room, the catering kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator and freezer, ice maker, microwave, warmer, and coffee station. A large table provides ample space for food prep, and two large sinks make for easy clean up.
